One of most thrilling (ongoing) episodes of my life has been the conquest of space. I call it a conquest because — come on now — before it all started to happen in the 1950s, who really would have thought any such thing would have happened. Whether it’s walking in space or walking on the moon, sending a probe to the planets or looking toward visiting Mars, it certainly offers a new frontier that once was just the realm of science fiction.
